International experience

My international experience is based on long stages in Italy, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. In addition to this, I have visited many other institutions around the world for short periods.

Thanks to the Salvador de Madariaga Program (the Program for Spanish Professors and Researchers in foreign higher Education and Research Centers), I researched several biotechnologies for the reuse of contaminated biosolids to obtain agricultural, environmental and social benefits.

Thanks to the Salvador de Madariaga Program (the Program for Spanish Professors and Researchers in foreign higher Education and Research Centers), I studied how the combination of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and biosolids could be a suitable technology for the restoration of soils contaminated with trace elements.

I was involved in a project of composting of olive wastes as a post-doctoral student.

As a post-doctoral student I was in charge of studying the effect of temperature on microbial development in compost and optimizing the process.
